Position Overview: Armed Reaction Officer

As an Armed Reaction Officer at 24/7 Security Services, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our clients’ properties and ensuring their peace of mind. Your responsibilities will include:
- Responding promptly to security alarms and incidents
- Conducting patrols and surveillance to detect potential threats
- Employing effective communication and de-escalation techniques when interacting with individuals
- Safely handling firearms and adhering to all relevant protocols and regulations
- Collaborating with law enforcement agencies and other security personnel when necessary
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Armed Reaction Officer, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a Grade C PSIRA certificate
- Hold an Armed Response certificate
- Have a minimum of three years’ experience in the security industry
- Hold a Matric certificate (a tertiary qualification will be an advantage)
- Possess a valid driver’s license with at least one year of driving experience
- Have a valid firearm competency for Handgun (SL Rifle will be an advantage) for business purposes
- Provide firearm training certificates for Handgun (SL Rifle will be an advantage) for business purposes
- Present a statement of results from PFTC
- Provide contactable references
- Have a clear criminal record
